PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
This course introduces the pharmacy technician student to the basics of pharmacy practice in various pharmacy settings. Pharmacy technicians enjoy a rewarding career in the constantly growing and evolving field of health care and prescription medicine.
Students will learn the technical procedures for preparing and dispensing drugs in the hospital and retail settings under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
As a certified pharmacy technician, you are the liaison between medical professionals, doctors, pharmacists, insurance companies and patients. You will receive and verify prescriptions and prepare patient medication.
You will take classes that prepare you to:
